Meet the Coeus Technical Team

Jacob Derrick is the Director and Principal Consultant at Coeus Technical Ltd. With a background in Electrotechnical Safety Systems, Jake has over 14 years experience in fire safety and has worked across a wide breadth of industry sectors at all stages of design, construciton, and operation of buildings. Jake is a registered Incorporated Engineer with the UK Engineering Council and a Chartered Building Engineer with the Chartered Association of Building Engineers. Jake also holds membership as a Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Institution of Fire Safety Managers. Jake volunteers with the Institution of Fire Engineers and in November 2022 was elected to the position of Leader of the IFE International General Assembly which brings together members of the national and international fire community within the IFE, pursuing the aim of making the world safer from fire. Jake also works as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Ambassador, promoting engineering career paths to school and college students.
